I haven’t been to the Camden Aquarium in a really long time, but looking at sharks and turtles and fish never really gets old, so I’ve wanted to go back pretty much since the day after I was there last.
Apparently, the ferry doesn’t run in the winter, so that was a little unfortunate, as the quick trip across the river is always fun for getting in the fish-spotting mood, but we made due anyway. Caught a cab to New Jersey, and spent the next few hours looking at and petting fish (and subsequently getting yelled at for touching the bottom of the stingrays). Additionally: HIPPOS. Hippos are the goddamn best. Puffer fish swim too fast to photograph effectively and Jen makes a surprisingly accurate piranha face. In short, the aquarium is awesome. I already want to go back.
